Started Building My New Radio

I've started building my new Amateur Radio transceiver, the Elecraft K1 CW transceiver kit. I've inventoried the parts, and I've installed the first few components. I was worried about my soldering ability, but my first 22 solder connections look pretty good.

I'm going to try to take photographs of my progress and post them to http://picasaweb.google.com/joseph.durnal/ElecraftK1TransceiverBuild. This job will be done in many short sessions over a period of time, although, tomorrow night and the next day I should have more time than normal to work on it, so, maybe, I'll finish the filter board, we'll see. I'm not in a hurry.

I admit, it looks like an empty circuit board, but after a few sessions, it will have stuff on it, I promise.

Amy's Spaghetti Sauce

I'm so looking forward to my lunch today, it is leftover spaghetti from last night's dinner. What is so good about last night's leftovers? Well, Amy's spaghetti sauce of course, it is the best I've ever had. This sauce is no marinara, it is all about the meat, and anyone that knows me, knows that I like meat. I don't know the exact recipe, but it includes ground beef, sausage, and pepperoni. There are some other things, like spices, onion, green pepper, and occasionally mushrooms, oh yea, and tomato paste. I just can't get over how much I like it. The good news is, she can make a big batch, and freeze some so we can have it again and again!
