I was originally going to build a station for 10 meters, but as planning for the event went on, nobody had signed up for 80 which was surprising because it is a very active band on field day. I figured why not switch, since I could never setup a good station for 80 meters at home, the antennas are just too big.

Field Day 2007
Field Day 2007 was a lot more fun for me than last year. First, the entire family was there, Amy, Zoe, Aidan, & Alex, even Al, my father in law. Second, I chose to be the band captain for 80 meters. Our station made 300 contacts in 24 hours, 200 using Morse Code and 100 using voice.
