The President has been removed

I was surprised this afternoon when leaving the federal building I've been working in for the past several weeks. The portraits of President Bush and Vice President Chaney were removed from the lobby. I understand that his term is almost up, but almost isn't quite all the way. I know it was there this morning, because I was thinking to myself about how long I thought it would take for the new official presidential portrait to be posted, specifically, if it would be there when I arrived for work on January 21st.
