The Presidents of the United States of America

No, not the band, but now I can't get the song Peaches out of my head. But here is something you don't see every day. Three former presidents, the current president, and the future president all at the White House.



From left to right. The 41st President, George H. W. Bush, the soon to be 44th President, Barack Obama, the 43rd President, George W. Bush, the 42nd President, Bill Clinton, and the 39th President, Jimmy Carter.

If only Ronald Reagan was still alive to be part of this group. Reagan tops the list of Presidents who have served during my lifetime and Georg H. W. Bush (41) is the best in my book of those pictured. Barack Obama hasn't had a fair chance yet so I guess I'll have to revisit this in four to eight years.

I think this says a lot about the system of government we have here in the United States. Men who once held the most powerful office in the land who have stepped aside and pass the power on to the next.
